about

“The amount of creative energy I poured into this album is hard to grasp. Every track is a result of me jamming for hours in front of my hardware setup consisting of drum machines, Moog synths, modular synths and various outboard effects. You might have seen me posting some of these jams.

All in search of that equilibrium or state of flow when something deep inside me happens and I feel that I have found something that I should hold on to. That is when I hit record. I ended up with many hours of recordings, not knowing if the tracks would hold up in the long run.

Finally selecting, chopping up the recordings and stitching it all together in Ableton Live was a difficult task, but in the end a very satisfying process. The purpose was to make a set that I could perform live and later lay down as tracks. I performed these tracks live twice during November 2022.

Having performed the live set and experiencing how it was received by the audience made me think, “these tracks are better suited as part of a mix rather than as separate tracks”. So, this made me release these tracks as a mix - a musical journey through my peaks in my creative jams. I hope you will enjoy and connect with some of the feelings I found during these recording sessions.

As Bandcamp doesn't support gapless playback (desktop) I will include the full mix in one file (as wav download link)."

Copenhagen based Yukio Bergholdt has been producing electronic music since the mid 90's, cutting his teeth abusing hardware synths and outboard gear. He certainly has an ear for the nostalgic, and his evocative beats and mellow tones should appeal to fans of dub, techno, and ambient genres. ... more
